Today I decided to play around with my macro extension tubes, eyes, and in one case, HDR and a lomography software filter.

 

Another one of my experiments with macro HDR black and white photography.

This barbed wire property line has been consumed by the tree.

I have a set of macro extension tubes, a tripod and of course, a camera. It was only a matter of time before I took my new found love for HDR photography and applied the macro view to see what I could create. Below are some of the first shots.

All of these photographs were shot outside my house, in the yard on a tripod. Each image consists of three separate shots that were merged later using the Photomatix HDR plugin for Aperture.

 

 

This church is located in Underhill, Vermont. The images above were started with HDR compositions and finished off by blending in an overlay to add the textured look.

 

Not much snow in Vermont yet this year but the cold weather and Lake Champlain have produced plenty of ice lake side. This HDR photograph was shot at Oakledge Park in Burlington, Vermont.
